SRC and its sponsors are committed to the sound scientific
assessment of any risks posed to the environment or human health
from the production and
use of silver. To this end, its current research program was
designed to increase understanding of the behavior of silver
in the
environment. |

Ultimately,
the work seeks to enable quantitative prediction of bioavailability
of silver in soils, water and sediment through the development
of specific models based on simple parameters such as metal
concentration and classic abiotic factors such as pH, organic
carbon content, water hardness etc.
